It's time to return to the charming country town in the Yorkshire Dales in All Creatures Great and Small Season 7, scheduled to debut on PBS on January 17. The platform's British period drama series is based on Alf Wight's series of books (written under the pen name of James Herriot) about a Yorkshire veterinary surgeon.
It's time to get cozy this winter as the series will officially enter a new era in the upcoming season. All Creatures Great and Small Season 7 is set in 1946, in the aftermath of World War II. With the brutal war finally behind them, familiar faces will reunite in the Skeldale House, hopeful about a new chapter in their lives.

1) Nicholas Ralph as James Herriot: Naturally, Nicholas Ralph will reprise his beloved character, James Herriot, in the upcoming season. According to the synopsis provided by PBS, James is excited about new developments in veterinary medicine and hopeful about the future. However, the arrival of a new rival vet will threaten his status quo and bring a host of new problems to Darrowby.
Ralph has also appeared as Jeremiah "Jerry" Walter MacKenzie in Starz's historical romance Outlander and as Rev. John Planer in PBS' detective drama series Grantchester.
2) Samuel West as Siegfried Farnon: West's gruff, tough-love veterinarian and owner of the Skeldale House will also return in All Creatures Great and Small Season 7. Siegfried took a rare chance on the newly minted vet James, and the subsequent events are well-known. The upcoming season will continue to expand on their relationship and work.
West is best known for his roles in small-screen projects such as Netflix'sThe Crown and PBS' Mr. Selfridge.
3) Anna Madeley as Mrs Audrey Hall: We believe that Madeley's Mrs. Hall will take on a significant role in Season 7 as the housekeeper of Skeldale House. With all characters reuniting under one roof after the war, Mrs. Hall will prove why she is called the backbone of the house.
Madeley is best known for her roles in The Crown and The Child in Time.

4)Callum Woodhouse as Tristan Farnon: The wayward, wild child of the house and Siegfried's brother, Tristan will also return in All Creatures Great and Small Season 7, hopeful about a new era and future.
Callum Woodhouse is best known for playing Leslie Durrell on The Durrells in Corfu.
5) Rachel Shenton as Helen Herriot: Introduced as the strong-willed farmer's daughter, Helen eventually married James and transitioned into a wife and mother. Rachel Shenton's return suggests the upcoming season will continue exploring James beyond his professional life.

Meet the newcomer in All Creatures Great and Small Season 7
It's only fitting that PBS' period drama series adds a new face to shake things up in the new era. Killyclogher actor and musician Caolan McCarthy has landed a major role in the series as newly arrived rival vet Granville Bennett, who will threaten James's position in the upcoming season.
McCarthy is primarily focused on stage work and appeared in Kenneth Branagh's 2021 film Belfast, starring Jamie Dornan and Caitríona Balfe.
According to PBS, McCarthy will be joined by a host of new guest characters, who will add another layer of surprise in Season 7.
