- Allison Janney regularly goes to psychics — even though their predictions don’t always come true.

- But the actress recently shared the one career-changing prediction that did pan out in her favor.

- “I think it’s cheaper than therapy,” Janney added of seeing a psychic.

Allison Janney never gets tired of looking ahead to the future — thankfully, she has plenty of access to psychics.

The actress revealed as much to Tiffany Haddish, one of the stars subbing in for late-night host Jimmy Kimmel during his month-long vacation, on Tuesday night. After a rousing discussion about astrology, Haddish posed a theory.

“I feel like that way that you know that you are all these water signs says, to me, that you probably go to psychics,” Haddish said.

Janney’s intense expression was enough of an answer, but the *West Wing* star didn’t hesitate to confirm.

“You have no idea,” she deadpanned, “how much money I have spent on psychics.”

Janney went on to share that she has been visiting psychics for years — including pet psychics to tell her about her past life connections to her dogs. She explained that while not all the predictions pan out, she loves that the experience is “like magic.”

When Haddish asked if any of the predictions have come true, Janney confirmed, “Yes — and this was weird.”

She explained that the interaction began with her meeting the psychic in person, in a hotel room.

“I went to a hotel and I had this picture of Chuck Lorre, because I was developing something with him,” Janney said of the mega-producer behind such sitcoms as *The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Young Sheldon*, and more.

To Janney’s delight, the psychic looked at the photo and told her: “This man, you’re gonna have a very long relationship with him.”

Unfortunately, the project ended up falling through. “I was like, ‘God, I’m never going to another psychic,” Janney recalled. “And then two years later, *Mom*, the TV show came my way, and that was eight years.”

Indeed, Janney starred alongside Anna Farris on the Lorre-produced CBS sitcom from 2013 to 2021. Needless to say, the days of visiting psychics have not ended.

“I think it’s cheaper than therapy, in a way,” Janney told Haddish. “It’s so great when you leave and you hear something… This one psychic told me — and it didn’t happen — said that I was gonna meet the man of my dreams and I was gonna have all this wild, hot sex with him.”

Janney, who said her psychic nicknamed the mystery man “Hot Pants,” admitted that she never found him — but for a while, the possibility of him had a significant impact on her life.

“It got me to go out more,” Janney explained, “Because I was like, ‘Nah, I don’t wanna go to that party but maybe Hot Pants is gonna be there. So I’m gonna go.’”

Janney previously spoke about Hot Pants back in 2019, during a visit to Ellen DeGeneres’ daytime talk show. At the time, the Oscar winner was still holding out hope that her psychic’s prediction would come true.

“I keep looking for him,” she told DeGeneres. “It keeps making me go do things I wouldn’t normally do. Like, ‘I’m going to go get the oil changed in my car because maybe Hot Pants will be there.’”

She joked that the search for her mystery man is what brought her to the show, then turned to a random guy in the audience and quipped, “Are you Hot Pants?”

Given how the Lorre prediction panned out, Hot Pants may still be waiting just around the corner.
