Amal Clooney stepped out with George Clooney in Venice on September 4 in an unexpected dress.
The Stella McCartney form-fitted dress featured an unusual raspberry print.

Amal Clooney is putting her own unique spin on European summer dressing. The lawyer, who is currently in Venice with her husband George Clooney for the film festival, put on one of her most playful sartorial displays yet for her latest outing. Stepping out for the “The Future Of… Creativity” event on September 4, Amal broke from her streak of monochrome and color blocking for a bold, polarizing print.

Amal opted for an elegant printed chiffon dress by Stella McCartney that featured an off-the-shoulder bodice that wrapped around her upper arms, before giving way to a form-fitting silhouette. The layers of semi-sheer chiffon were covered in a bold print that appeared to feature abstract red haphazard polka dots, but, on closer inspection, proved to be composed of large hazy raspberries.
Amal paired the dress with a pair of chunky gold statement earrings and the Aquazzura Amore Mule 95 heeled sandals in nude. She carried a white textured handbag and completed the look with oversized brown sunglasses. Instead of her usual long, loose waves, she swept her hair back into a side-parted half-up hairdo with a few face-framing curtain bangs.

As for George, he kept things simple in a dark navy suit with a black T-shirt underneath.

The Clooneys’ stop in Venice has already been quite the fashion whirlwind. Amal made her first statement when she arrived on September 1 in a silky, cozy olive-green shorts set. That evening, the pair stepped out for a meaningful date night, revisiting their wedding venue. Amal wore a white beaded gown for the occasion. The following day, they made a red-carpet appearance in matching all-black looks for the Ink premiere. Amal accessorized with $375,000 worth of jewelry. That evening, she changed into a dramatic turquoise fringed minidress.
George couldn’t help but gush about his wife during the festival. “By the way, my wife’s the only person to have ever put ISIS on trial and won,” he said, per The Hollywood Reporter. “She’s a badass, and she gets the job done.”
