Baker Mayfield admitted that his wife found it 'hard' to handle Netflix's constant coverage of him and their family throughout the 2025 NFL season.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers star was one of four quarterbacks featured on the Netflix show, which gives fans an all-access look at a player's NFL season, including cameras in their homes and a look at their personal lives. Jayden Daniels (Washington Commanders), Joe Flacco (Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals), and Cam Ward (Tennessee Titans) had also been featured on the show.
Much had emerged from the show, as Emily Mayfield revealed she did not know much about Baker before they met, while their two kids had been featured as cameras followed the family around.

While this is something Mayfield is more used to, being in the NFL for eight years and a recognizable figure in college football years before that, Emily had to adjust.
Speaking on the Green Light Podcast, Mayfield said: "You know, it really wasn't bad.
"Like as you know, there's cameras, there's somebody mic'd up on game days always. So to be mic'd up on game days that like that part wasn't bad at all. It really was more so, I think it was harder on like Emily and my friends that would be in from out of town.

"They would have the cameras up in the suit. Because I'm just used to cameras being around and all that. I think it's more so for the people that aren't used to that that it's harder on them."
The season started strongly for Mayfield and the Buccaneers, winning six of their first eight games — including a statement win over the Seattle Seahawks in Lumen Field.
However, they went on to win just two of their next nine games, finishing with a losing 8-9 season and missing the playoffs for the first time since 2019.
After the season, Mayfield was very open in looking for a new contract. He has been a consistently strong performer for the team while earning one of the lower salaries among starting quarterbacks.
But the Buccaneers could not meet his demands, and he admitted he felt 'disrespected'.

Mayfield told reporters: "I wanted a deal done and set the deadline and told them it was gonna be all ball after that. I did mean that, and I don't know if they thought I was just gonna take some of the offers they gave.
"I'm at the point in my career, understanding what I've brought to this franchise — I'm very, very thankful for the chance they gave me, don't get me wrong about that -- but I also know, I really know what I brought to this franchise, leadership-wise and play-wise. It's been some of the best years of my career, and I think it's only gonna trend upwards, just being comfortable and feeling that.
"So, disappointing in that regard to not have… to feel disrespected a little bit. That's really the disappointing part, to feel undervalued after thinking you've earned it. This is not a 'poor me' thing. There's a lot amount of people who have it way worse off. But I can sit here and look at other quarterbacks and peers and evaluate myself based on that and put myself in certain categories that I deserve to be compensated for that.
"I think I'm a franchise quarterback. I've been told I'm a franchise quarterback. It's been said publicly from ownership down here. So, to not have a deal done is very disappointing. But I said the deadline was the deadline."
