Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity Episode 7 is packed with mind-blowing moments. The episode is a turning point away from the battles and instead focuses on uniting the characters from opposing sides for an attack on Yhwach.
In Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity Episode 7, Uryu Ishida gathers members from the Quincy, Soul Reapers, and Arrancar groups to pull off an operation against Yhwach. Meanwhile, Jushiro Ukitake is almost finished with his fight, and Ichigo Kurosaki is at his lowest with his powers.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity Episode 7 showcases Uryu as the protagonist and his story like never before. He meets Dondochakka and Pesche, but this time also encounters Nelliel and Harribel, who also return to action after being inactive for a long time. The team, therefore, makes a plan to destroy the bridges leading to the Soul King's palace.
Seeing Uryu's plan work, the whole team pulls off the desired explosion that needed to stop the Seed of Destruction. Uryu uses the Antithesis ability against Yhwach in this episode, which seems to prove to be the beginning of the end for Yhwach's plans of seeing the future.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity Episode 7 features an emotionally charged scene involving Kyoraku and Ukitake. Kyoraku recalls a conversation with a younger Ukitake where the latter tells him that ending the cycle of destruction is now up to him. The scene leads to an emotional farewell between two friends who realize that their time is running out.

Ukitake's illness takes center stage, instead of being an ancillary detail. With Yhwach siphoning away the last remnants of Soul King energy, Ukitake's illness intensifies. Kyoraku has to carry the burden of everything that is to follow. This scene gives the episode its emotional depth, contrasted against the ongoing large-scale battle elsewhere.
Ichigo's Powers Stripped Away

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity Episode 7 has Ichigo suffering the most. Trapped by Yhwach, he witnesses the extraction of his Quincy and Hollow powers in visible pain. The whole episode is reminiscent of one of the famous illustrations from the manga, but it employs a black-and-white palette to show just how dire the situation is.
Ichigo's statement that he lost marks one of the rare occasions in which he accepts defeat. After his friends have fallen and his power has left him, the somber atmosphere of the episode is established, as Uryu’s group starts its counteroffensive.
Yhwach Survives the Attack
At the end of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity Episode 7, despite the joint efforts of Uryu, Nelliel, Harribel, and others, Yhwach is still standing. Uryu manages to buy some time and even guesses which alternate future will be chosen by Yhwach, momentarily outsmarting the Almighty itself.
Nonetheless, Yhwach becomes even stronger than before, disregarding the current development with full self-assertiveness.
The episode ends quite ominously with Aizen signaling that he is back for the upcoming episode. With three episodes ahead, the story is still far from over.
