Fans loved this deal so much that Cinemark brought it back for one day only.
On Sunday, Sept. 6, the BYOB (Bring Your Own Bucket) event returns to Cinemark.
Customers can bring any container to a Cinemark theater and have it filled with popcorn for $5, according to a news release from the movie theater chain. The promotion originally ran back in January for National Popcorn Day, but it was so popular they brought the deal back.
Back in January, guests took the chance and filled quite a few odd items with popcorn.
"We have seen everything from a nightstand, a wheelbarrow, an urn, a guitar case, traffic cones, a pair of pants, and more," Julia McCartha, a Cinemark public relations manager, told USA TODAY. "We welcome all types of containers, as long as they are clean."

When is Cinemark's BYOB event?
The event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 6, according to Cinemark's website.
What kind of buckets can you bring?
Customers' popcorn buckets can be anything from traffic cones to cowboy hats.
The deal will fill the container up to 400 ounces, which is equivalent to two extra-large popcorns, per Cinemark. The containers must also be clean.
How much is it to BYOB?
Cinemark will fill your bucket for $5.
The event will run for one day only and does not require customers to make any extra purchases or to download the Cinemark app.
