On today’s Beyond The Gates recap:
Dani awakens in her Seoul hotel room and thinks back to her last conversation with Bill. Just then, a toweled-up Andre emerges from the bathroom. He says he has to get going with his busy first day and wonders about her itinerary. She says she isn’t leaving him alone all day with all these K-Pop girlies running around. Andre says they don’t hold a candle to her before heading out to his shoot.
Dani Convinces Chelsea to Check Up on Her Father
Chelsea is at the club when she sees a story about ChelseaKat pulling out of the Tagahashi show and then fields a call from Kat. Chelsea freaks out saying they must check with Naomi as Ted walks up. He takes a seat and learns all about the sweatshop scandal. Just then, Dani calls and Ted exits.
Chelsea tells her mother about the article which blames ChelseaKat for pulling out of the show. Dani asks Naomi’s take but Chelsea says she’s in court. She suggests Chelsea go see her father but she pushes back. Dani says she has a funny feeling about Bill and urges her to head to the house to get her legal advice and calm her mother’s nerves. Chelsea agrees but also tells her mother to go live her life.
Bill and Hayley Lie to Each Other on Beyond The Gates
Bill falls off the sofa as Hayley becomes gleeful at the prospect of his passing. She texts Randy to say it’s done and walks out the door. After she exits, Bill rouses and pulls himself back up on the sofa. Hayley re-enters and is less than thrilled to find her husband very much alive.
Bill and Hayley lie to each other. She says she thought he was asleep and Bill says he was simply thinking about a case. Hayley shifts saying they should fire their housekeeper as she let Leslie Thomas in without warning. Bill pushes back and exits leaving Hayley frustrated and annoyed. Later, Bill gets a call from Chelsea, and they agree to meet up at the club.
Deanna is at Orphey Gene’s when she puts in her airpods and tries to conjure up her father. Just then, she hears a voice and wonders if her father is on the line. The man says she has the wrong number and hangs up. Afterwards, Deanna pulls out an envelope marked, “cause of my death.”
Heather Plays in Joey’s Face About Killing Doug
Heather goes on about Joey killing Doug while he denies the accusation. He says he was with Vanessa in Puerto Rico and Heather notes, once again, how Joey refuses to get his hands dirty. Just then, Vanessa walks back in the room. She clearly didn’t hear anything but says Deanna texted to meet up at Orphey Gene’s as she found something in her belongings which set her off. Afterwards, Joey calls Randy to get over to the restaurant to find out what Deanna intends to show to Vanessa.
Heather continues to rib her brother about killing Doug when he notes Vanessa is still there. Just then, she says her goodbyes and heads to Orphey Gene’s. Afterwards, Heather continues her sing-song tirade saying she hopes no one ever finds out the truth. Joey warns his sister not to go toe to toe with him. Heather stares at her brother and asks if that’s the face Doug saw right before he died… the same face their father saw (WHAT?!) Joey grabs Heather by the arm and pulls her to the door. She jerks free, tells Joey she still loves him and makes her exit.
Deanna Finds Something Triggering in Her Daddy’s Belongings on Beyond The Gates
Randy arrives at Orphey Gene’s and takes a seat with Deanna, who tells him all about the box of her father’s things her mother brought her. She says she found something which confirms what she has always know. Before Randy can find out what Deanna found, Vanessa walks up. Afterwards, he texts Joey the less than stellar news.
Deanna tells Vanessa she isn’t going back to Banneker. Vanessa thinks it’s because of Noah but Deanna tells her to chill. She pulls out the letter and says that’s why she isn’t going back. Deanna says her dad bought them tickets to see the exhibit “cause of my death” and wants to stay home so they can go together to commemorate her father. Vanessa says she doesn’t want her daughter to check out of school for a semester, and neither would her father. Deanna slips saying she doesn’t know what her father would want as she is the one who’s talking to him.

Deanna lies saying she wasn’t being literal as she thinks about her father and talks to him in her dreams… she even listens to his voice messages. She deflects by saying she is keeping the memory of her father alive while her mother is erasing him by moving on with Joey. Deanna gets up to leave, and Vanessa blocks her saying she is not leaving school. Deanna says she’s a grown ass woman who can make her own decisions which will always be better than hanging with a killer like Joey.

Bill arrives at the club when he sees an article about Tagahashi-gate. Chelsea walks up and says she needs her advice about the entire mess. Chelsea fills him in on Smitty’s information about the sweat shop and wants to know what to do. He asks about Naomi’s involvement and assures his daughter he is there to lend a hand when his other daughter needs it. Just then, Chelsea heads off to contact her mother as Bill sits back and takes a deep breath. Later, Chelsea returns and catches her father up before heading off to meet Madison.
Randy stuns Hayley by showing up at the mansion. He wanted to help her remove Bill’s body but Hayley says she was wrong. They go back and forth a bit before Randy says Bill is lying to her and trying to catch her in lies. Hayley says she cannot be fooled and no one will keep her from her payday.
Dani and Andre return to their hotel room together to find a bottle of champagne. Dani notes it’s her new favorite, but Andre wants to find the card as it didn’t come from him. Dani is certain it’s guest relations as they must have searched her socials and provided them with a gift… which always happens. Andre continues to freak out before Dani tells him to sip and chill.
Ted sits at the country club bar when he gets a brief visit from Bill where they discuss his pacemaker before parting ways. He gets on the phone and then encounters Heather, who was eavesdropping and asks what kind of fun he’s trying to get up to. He makes mention of his lady’s brothers who apparently can be trouble. He asks how she handles that kind of bothersome trouble and Heather says she just kills them. Afterwards she giggles and says the only killing she does is with kindness. They giggle back and forth before Ted decides to head out and Heather seems as thirst and hungry as ever.
Hayley compliments Randy on how he got through the gates and in the house without being spotted. Just then, she gets an alert that Bill is home. Hayley pushes Randy out the back as Bill comes in calling for his wife asking for his hospital discharge papers. He grabs her purse to search when Hayley walks in and rips it away. She walks to the bookshelf and gives him the discharge papers as she considers how close she came to being found out.
Bill tells her about the pacemaker app and starts to setup an account which provides him real time reports from his heart… which does not thrill her.
Later…
A distraught Vanessa returns to Joey’s and goes off about Deanna. She thought her daughter had gotten beyond hating her and blaming him. Vanessa tells him about the exhibit tickets Doug left for her daughter and the colossal argument which they inspired. Joey says maybe it’s time for him to let her go as Vanessa’s relationship with her daughter is more important. Vanessa ignores him saying Deanna is grown and must learn how to accept Joey as her partner. She loves him and nothing will change that fact.
