Dwyane Wade‘s son Zaire Wade has been charged with a felony following his June arrest in connection with suspected domestic violence.
Zaire, 24, was charged in connection with the incident on Thursday, July 9, according to a felony criminal complaint obtained by PEOPLE.
Zaire was charged with felony injuring a cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or child’s parent. In the complaint, filed by Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman, the D.A. alleged that Zaire “willfully inflicted corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition” upon the victim, whose identity has not been made public.
According to the complaint, Zaire was in a romantic relationship with the alleged victim.
His arraignment is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on July 16, in Pasadena, Calif.
PEOPLE has reached out to a spokesperson for Zaire and the Wade family for comment on the felony charge.
On June 21, Zaire was arrested and booked in Los Angeles, where his bond was set at $50,000, according to arrest records previously reviewed by PEOPLE. He bonded out of jail that same day, and an emergency protective order for the victim was obtained.
