Ed Sheeran has contributed to a new photo exhibition to celebrate a football club's promotion to the Premier League.

Gawn Up celebrates Ipswich Town's return to the top flight and has been created by the club and the town's Business Improvement District, Ipswich Central.

Through a series of photographs, including personal ones from Sheeran, visitors are taken through the club's final weeks of the recent promotion-winning campaign.

Lee Walker, chief executive of Ipswich Central, said the free exhibition, which opens from 10:00 BST and runs until 19 July, captured "the many different stories that made promotion possible".

Posters to promote the exhibition have been placed across Ipswich

Singer-songwriter Sheeran has contributed his own photographs from the final match against QPR that secured promotion.

Sheeran acquired a minority stake in the club in 2024 and performed several shows at Portman Road last year.

Ipswich Central said his photos offered supporters "a unique glimpse into celebrations few have ever seen".

The exhibition features other pieces from acclaimed photographers Adam Rosenbaum and George Dixon.

Fan photos are also included, and there is a dedicated section that showcases the work of Call Me Ted - a group created in 2024 that works with artists to create matchday posters.

Visitors can also enjoy the work of Louise Cobbold, who creates player portraits.

The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 to 16:00.

Ipswich Central's Lee Walker hoped supporters would experience "a celebration of a football club and a town at a truly remarkable moment in their shared history"

"Promotion to the Premier League has given Ipswich memories that will last a lifetime, but what makes this season truly special is the way the whole town experienced it together," Walker said.

"Gawn Up is about preserving those moments before they become memories.

"Whether it's the emotion in the stands, the celebrations in the dressing room, or the creativity that surrounded the club throughout the season, this exhibition captures the many different stories that made promotion possible."
