Jonathan Knight revealed when new episodes of Crashers will air amid the series’ hiatus

The HGTV reboot features Knight surprising homeowners with free 72-hour room renovations

Have no fear, Crashers fans! Jonathan Knight is setting the record straight about the future of his latest HGTV series.

The New Kids on the Block singer, 57, took to Instagram to share a Crashers update with fans weeks after the most recent episode of the series premiered. While the season was set to have 13 episodes, it’s only aired 11 so far, with the most recent one having premiered on Monday, Aug. 17.

Knight addressed the show’s hiatus in a recent Instagram Reel. In the clip, Knight walks down an unfinished staircase while wearing work boots and jeans. He makes his way to a cameraman who tells him, “Just in time,” as he reveals more of what appears to be a job site for the show.

In the caption, he revealed when the series will return: “All new episodes of Crashers coming in 2027.”

In a different post shared one day later to Instagram, Knight hinted at where the new episodes will take place alongside a photo of his home, a farm located just outside of Boston.

“Love filming so close to home and being able to pop in, even for a quick overnight! My barn feels ready for Halloween year round,” he wrote in the caption.

Crashers is a reboot of HGTV’s popular ambush-style renovation franchise that originally aired from 2008 to 2011. It follows Knight as he surprises homeowners at everyday places — from coffee shops to hardware stores — and offers them a free 72-hour room renovation of their choosing.

However, in order for the transformation to begin, residents must vacate their homes immediately for the full three days and give up full creative control to Knight.

His role on Crashers comes after Knight announced in June 2025 that his previous show, Farmhouse Fixer, would not be returning for another season amid a series of high-profile HGTV show cancellations at the time.

The fan-favorite series followed him and design partner Kristina Crestin as they restored historic homes in his native New England and documented the highs and lows of renovating old properties.

Ahead of the Crashers premiere in June, Knight spoke to PEOPLE all about the reboot during a set visit in April, including how he got ready to take on this new series.

“I watched a whole bunch of [the old series] to prepare for this,” he said at the time. “It was just such a great show. And I was like, ‘Wow, I have to fill these people’s shoes?’ So I really studied, ‘How does it work? What’s this going to be? Can I do this right?’”

He also noted that while this Crashers is a reboot, it will not simply recreate the past.

“We definitely have a lot of the elements of the [old] Crashers, but it’s revamped,” he explained. “It’s a lot more and different and fresh. When you have a great show, it’s fun to bring it back, but you have to do it right.”
