Love Island USA fans are skeptical that Melanie will heed her sister Stephanie and mom Zoila's warnings about her connection Sincere despite his "sneaky" moves in the villa.
A new episode of Love Island USA premiered on Thursday, July 9, and during the show, the remaining couples' respective families came to visit them in the villa for "Family Day." Melanie and Sincere's families were the last to show up at the villa, heightening the anticipation for both of them, especially Sincere.
With Sincere appearing to not always be fully honest with Melanie, specifically about his romantic feelings for other bombshells, including the now-voted-off islanders Amor and Sol, he's made himself the target of much backlash online as the villain of the show. Even Sincere's dad, Benjamin Sr., admitted to him that he came to the villa to "correct" him after seeing his "unacceptable" behavior.

Meanwhile, Melanie's sister Stephanie told her that "you don't deserve this," claiming Sincere wasn't "treating her right" as mom Zoila asked Melanie in Spanish she'd give him a "second chance" when "so many others are waiting for their first."

Many viewers applauded both Sincere and Melanie's family for holding them accountable, and some hoped that the former plus size model's family's input would open her eyes. That optimism diminished after Melanie went on to say she wants to "try" her relationship with Sincere "outside the villa."

After Sincere explained that there would be "no more dishonesty" on his end, she confessed, "I would like to see how life is outside the villa, even if I do look like a dummy. I wanna take a gamble and want to see...I don't want to live with 'what if's.' If you f--k up, we will be done...I would literally be dead to you."
On X, formerly known as Twitter, fans were fed up that Melanie refused to take her family's advice, with one writing, "Melanie is not going to listen to her mom and sister. She is desperate. #LoveIslandUSA."

Another added, "Melanie going against the closest people to her for him is the ultimate level of stupidity and delusion, wake tf up #loveislandusa."
Someone else ranted, "I don’t understand their connection or her infatuation with him. I think he’s an a--hole," while one added, "I'm sorry but she’s a freaking bird. your mom and sister came on a 20 hour flight, cried for you and told you he’s NOT genuine and you STILL can’t see it? her mom barely looked at him. she making the people voting for her look stupid as hell."
