A new ID docuseries examines the 2006 controversial hidden camera prank show Juiced, starring notorious one-time murder suspect O.J. Simpson
In the four-part series, the former football star-turned-actor participates in questionable pranks that played on his notoriety
Simpson, who died at age 76 in 2024, was acquitted in 1995 of the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman; he was later found liable in a wrongful death suit in 1997
In 2004, O.J. Simpson stood next to a white Ford Bronco in a used car lot, boasting about the SUV’s illustrious past.
“It’s kind of a famous car here,” Simpson explains to a hapless woman in the 2006 hidden camera prank show Juiced. In another scene of the show, Simpson, who was known as “The Juice,” autographs the driver’s side door, bragging, “You know I made this car famous.”
The white Ford Bronco became part of the American zeitgeist on June 17, 1994, when 95 million viewers watched the now-infamous “Bronco chase” as Simpson — a newly minted fugitive murder suspect — and his former teammate Al Cowlings drove at slow speeds down various Southern California interstates with a pack of police cars trailing behind.
Simpson fled after being named a suspect in the June 12, 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown, 35, and her friend, Ron Goldman, 25, but turned himself in later that night.
Simpson, who died of cancer in 2024, was acquitted of the murders in 1995.
The Juiced scenes showing Simpson speaking lightheartedly about the Bronco are part of the new documentary,O.J. Unseen: Exploitation ofEvil,premiering Monday, Sept. 7 and Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 9/8c on Investigation Discovery (ID) and HBO Max.

The four-part series recounts the untold story behind the ill-conceived prank show and features never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage, including Simpson talking about the murders.
In one part of the docuseries, Simpson is shown flirting with young women who are being pranked. “He started getting a little too comfortable with the prank victims,” Juiced producer Todd Lewis says. “It got uncomfortable.”

The series, according to ID, examines how Juiced became “a flashpoint in a media culture increasingly willing to blur the lines between controversy, spectacle, and entertainment, raising provocative questions about society’s enduring fascination with scandal.”
Though Simpson was found not guilty in the murder trial, in 1997 was found liable for the wrongful deaths of Brown and Goldman and ordered to pay more than $33 million in damages.
O.J. Unseen: Exploitation of Evil premieres on Monday, Sept. 7 and Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 9/8c on ID, with episodes available to stream on HBO Max.
