A public reunion between Prince Harry and Prince William could prove deeply awkward come Remembrance Sunday, as his move to the U.K. has placed the alienated brothers on a collision course to attend memorial ceremonies, according to an exclusive report published by RadarOnline.
Harry is packing up his home in North America to return alongside Meghan Markle and their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, so that the children can start attending a private U.K. day school.
Source Says Harry and William’s Relationship ‘Isn’t Going to Repair Overnight’
Harry’s arrival in Britain ahead of Nov. 8 has sparked discussion over whether the former military officer will stand near his brother, William, during formal Remembrance Sunday events despite their fallout.
A royal source revealed, “Remembrance Sunday matters enormously to Harry because of his military service, so being back in Britain inevitably creates the possibility that he and William could find themselves attending the same commemorations. Nobody expects that to be comfortable. Their personal relationship remains extremely difficult and simply living in the same country isn’t going to repair it overnight.”
Harry has spent 10 years in the British Armed Forces and completed two tours in Afghanistan. His strong bond with the military was on full display recently when he placed a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia while the news of his U.K. relocation began to break.
As Harry no longer serves as an active working royal, it is unclear if he will be granted an official spot beside the Royal Family at the Cenotaph in London. He could choose to honor the soldiers on his own terms, like spending time with veterans after the main royal ceremony ends, per Express UK.
Another source said, “Harry will want to mark Remembrance Sunday in a meaningful way. If there isn’t an official place for him at the Cenotaph, there are other ways he can pay his respects. What makes the situation sensitive is that any appearance involving both brothers would immediately become about William and Harry rather than the veterans.”

The family’s return after spending six years in North America is being viewed as an ongoing trial.
Insiders have reported that the Sussexes will first evaluate how well Archie and Lilibet adapt to their new school environment and life in the U.K. before locking in any permanent arrangements. If living in Britain does not meet their expectations, they might move to Canada or Australia in the future.
King Charles reportedly received notice of the family’s decision only days before the story became public. Harry’s connections with his late mother’s relatives played a key role in bringing him back home. The couple is looking into purchasing an estate in the Cotswolds or near Althorp in Northamptonshire, where Princess Diana grew up.
Still, Harry’s presence in the country is no promise of a truce with William.
A palace source warned, “There is a difference between Harry physically returning to Britain and the brothers actually reconciling. Remembrance Sunday could demonstrate that very starkly. They may potentially be in the same place honoring the same cause while still being personally miles apart.”
