The Duke of Sussex is scheduled to participate in an unexpected engagement this month, just weeks following his return to the UK. Prince Harry, 41, will take part in a skydive to benefit military charities, according to a confirmation.
The specific date of the skydive remains undisclosed, but it follows a commitment Harry made to 102-year-old veteran Ed Marshall last year during a trip to Sunnybrook Hospital's veterans center in Toronto. Reports indicate that the Duke and Ed connected through their shared military backgrounds, with Ed discussing his paratrooper training during World War II.
He subsequently revealed to the prince that he completed a skydive on his 100th birthday, leading the pair to discuss how the prince might undertake a similar jump for fundraising purposes. This comes after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex just moved back to the UK with their kids.

This conversation has now materialized into concrete plans, with Harry preparing to skydive within the coming weeks alongside fellow veterans, including Ed's grandson Bailey.
The skydive will generate funds for the Sunnybrook Foundation and True Patriot Love Foundation.

Sunnybrook, which established Sunnybrook Military Hospital after the Second World War, represents one of Canada's largest veteran care facilities. It additionally provides care and training for Canadian Armed Forces members.
The second charity benefiting from Harry's skydive is the True Patriot Love Foundation, Canada's national foundation dedicated to supporting its military community. The foundation uses donations to support Canadian Armed Forces members by developing initiatives that enhance their well-being and recovery.
Promoting Harry's forthcoming skydive, Sunnybrook announced, "This September, Prince Harry will take to the skies alongside fellow Veterans for a fundraising skydive in honor of Sunnybrook Veteran Ed Marshall-supporting Sunnybrook and True Patriot Love Foundation, two organizations dedicated to serving Canada's military and Veteran communities.

The announcement of the skydive has been warmly embraced by royal supporters, with many praising the prince, who returned to Britain last month.
One individual posted on X, "Prince Harry is truly a man for others!"

Prince Harry's daring stunt comes just after the Sussexes arrived in the UK on August 26 after six years in America, ahead of their children beginning school during an 'extended stay.'
After landing at Birmingham Airport on Wednesday, the family traveled in a convoy of blacked-out SUVs to the home of a family friend on the edge of the Cotswolds while they searched for a more permanent residence.
It is believed that they will not be selling their Montecito mansion, so they may have three properties shortly. The California house, a £6.2 million ($8.4 million) holiday home in Portugal, and their new UK home.
