Robin Antin is paying tribute to her “favorite girl in the world,” Lauren Bennett.
The choreographer and creator of the Pussycat Dolls shared an emotional letter on Instagram days after it was announced that the “Party Rock Anthem” singer had died. Bennett, who died weeks prior on May 29, was 36. Bennett was part of the girl group Paradiso Girls, formed by Antin, along with the group G.R.L.
Bennett and Antin’s relationship went beyond simply working together. They formed a bond through the years.
Antin addressed the letter, posted on July 9, to her “beautiful best friend.” “There are some people who come into your life and become so much more than a friend. Lauren, you were my family, from the age of 16, when we first met, my chosen sister, my creative partner, and such a treasured part of my heart.”
“Those who knew you as an artist, knew the extraordinary talent that you were & will be forever....beautiful, captivating, and endlessly gifted,” Antin continued, noting that she was lucky to know who Bennett was “behind the spotlight.”

“You were wonderfully funny, delightfully silly, endlessly caring, fiercely loyal, and the kind of friend who made everyone around you feel loved. Your laugh was contagious, your smile could light up any room, and your heart was as beautiful as your beauty & voice.”
Antin said that she and Bennett shared the stage many times, resulting in countless memories. “While the world is now admiring your talent, I always admired your talent AND SPIRIT. You gave so much of yourself to everyone you loved. There will never be another Lauren Bennett,” she continued.
“My heart aches everyday knowing that I can’t see you, call you & that you aren’t able to witness the incredible outpouring of love and recognition that has followed.”

Antin said that Bennett deserves the praise and that she believes the late singer can feel it. “I hope you know just how deeply you were loved, how profoundly you mattered, and how many lives you changed simply by being you. Above all, let’s honor Lauren with the grace, and the compassion she deserves during this unimaginable time.”
The choreographer wrote that she was excited to share some of Bennett’s “most iconic moments” with fans, noting the stage was where she “was completely herself.” “Lauren’s voice and her heart were truly one of a kind, every performance reflected this joy, passion, and light she carried within her.”
Antin addressed Bennett once more, thanking her for “every uncontrollable laugh.” “Every conversation at 3am about everything from Playground merch to creating new shows, every adventure, every dream, and every memory.”
“Thank you for being my family. My Mum, Dad & brothers absolutely adored you. Thank you for sharing your extraordinary gift with all of us. You have left a mark on this world that will never fade, and a place in my heart that can never be filled.”
“I miss you & love you endlessly, my beautiful friend,” she signed off the post.
