Sandra Bullock gave fans a rare glimpse into her private life with her two children by sharing a series of Halloween throwback photos and videos featuring her son Louis and daughter Laila celebrating the holiday over the years.
The 62-year-old actress took to Instagram on Saturday, Oct. 31, marking one of her rare posts on the platform since joining earlier this year, celebrating the holiday with a series of throwback photos of past Halloween moments with her family.
Among the photos were those featuring her two children, whom she had previously admitted to being “uber paranoid” about regarding their safety.

In the images, her children, Louis, now 16, and Laila, now 12, are seen in some rare family photos of their Halloween costumes through the years.
She initially kicked things off with a photo of herself and Louis when he was a young child. In the photo, Louis is dressed as Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear, while she was donning a Jessie costume from the same franchise. The picture shows her squeezing her son tightly, while also adding a Frankenstein sticker to his face.

The next image appears to be a selfie with Laila, with Bullock dressed as a sock monkey, and Laila wearing a onesie resembling one of the Toy Story aliens. The two also pose with their two dogs, with one dressed as the Pope and the other as a character with a black bob wig.

Additional photos also show Bullock in some of her other costumes through the years, as well as the pups, before also showing a video of Louis in the Buzz Lightyear costume again, as well as one of herself and him both donning pirate costumes.
In the caption of the post, Bullock wrote, “Nothing is off limits in this household. Happy Halloween from us.”
Bullock adopted Louis in 2010, when he was just three months old, but the moment was overshadowed by her public divorce from her husband, Jesse James, at the time, following a cheating scandal.
She then adopted Laila, who was two at the time, in 2015.
Bullock has rarely shown photos of her children
Bullock later stepped back from acting to be with them as they grew up and to also care for her late partner, Bryan Randall, who died in 2023 following a battle with ALS.
Bullock has made her children and raising them a point of pride in her life, and has admitted that she does fear for their safety in the world due to their race, as both children are black.
Speaking to Hoda Kotb for Today in September, Bullock admitted that she worries about their having different skin colors because she was gravely aware of the social difference between herself and her children.
“I’m uber paranoid, and they will tell you. They’re like, ‘Mom, it's going to be fine.’ I’m like, ‘It’s not fine. It’s not fine outside.’”
“The energy that is floating around our country and our world again. The color of their skin. They’re my babies, they’re my life, but no one knows that when they leave my house. So that is always in the forefront of my mind.”
