Candace Parker believes the current stars of the WNBA need to have a long, hard look at themselves after they voted Caitlin Clark as the 11th-best guard in the league's All-Star vote.

The Indiana Fever guard has dominated WNBA headlines of late, with her being criticized by former ESPN anchor Cari Champion after breaking her silence about the incident that saw her take Alyssa Thomas' fist to her throat and the ensuing fallout.

While she may not be the most accomplished, in part due to having only entered the league three years ago, Clark is the WNBA's biggest draw. However, during the recent WNBA All-Star selection process, it emerged that Clark finished 11th among guards in the player vote, a result that left Parker, a seven-time All-Star, three-time WNBA champion, two-time WNBA MVP, and WNBA Finals MVP, perplexed.

Speaking on the 'Post Moves' podcast, which she cohosts with Aliyah Boston, Clark’s Fever teammate, Parker explained she was bemused by the All-Star vote, telling the stars of the league they need to go and see a therapist.

"It's also kinda crazy. I wholeheartedly believe that there needs to be some rules with the WNBA players, because this is getting out of hand. Caitlin Clark [being] voted 11th-best guard by WNBA players, that's crazy."

She added, "I think people need to look at themselves in the mirror and realize you've got some insecurities, if you're sitting down and putting Caitlin Clark as the 11th-best guard.

"Y’all need to go to a therapist and figure out what childhood issues you have. Because if you're sitting there and look at yourself in the mirror and putting her as the 11th best guard and you're putting you as the 8th best, like come on.

Despite the player vote, Clark has been named as a starter for the 2026 WNBA All-Star game, thanks to finishing inside the top three among guards in both the fan and media voting.

She is averaging 21.2 points and 8.2 assists per game this year, having missed the majority of her sophomore campaign due to injury.

Parker was not the only one who took issue with the player vote, either.

FOX's Colin Cowherd blasted the stars of the WNBA for their petty treatment of Clark, with him also stunned by her placing 11th among guards.

"She's the No. 1 shooter, distributor, play initiator, playmaker, and she was voted the 11th best guard in the sport," Cowherd said.

"WNBA fans voted her as the 11th best guard. The animosity towards Caitlin Clark - a lot of people are getting angry on the internet. It's just so petty."
